Popular in Indian cuisine and a key ingredient in dukkah, cumin is an easy to grow summer annual grown for it's highly aromatic seed. Flowering in late spring and summer, seed is ready to be harvested in autumn as the seed heads dry. Suitable for pots or garden beds.

Cumin

Plant out after all likelihood of frost has past. Cumin needs 14-17 weeks of hot weather to set seed, but if the condition are right, this is a highly productive crop to grow at home.

How to grow

Cumin prefers climates with warm, dry summers. Plant in full sun in groups to help support the fragile top growth. Suitable for pots or garden beds. Water as required.
